inspecties<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Vliegtuiginspecties vereisen tijd en hoogopgeleide technici. Dit maakt vliegtuigonderhoud tijdrovend en duur. NLR onderzoekt de mogelijkheden om visuele inspecties van vliegtuigen sneller en betaalbaarder te maken door middel van automatisering en robotisering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Vliegtuiginspecties zijn cruciaal voor de voortdurende operatie van vliegtuigen. Echter, de downtime en kosten zijn een last voor operatoren. De huidige ontwikkelingen in automatisering, robotica, fotonica, sensortechnologie en beeldverwerking zijn snel vooruitgang aan het maken. NLR onderzoekt of deze technologie\u00ebn kunnen worden toegepast om vliegtuigen visueel te inspecteren. Het grootste voordeel is productiviteit. Inspecties kunnen tijdrovend zijn en vereisen geschoolde en ervaren technici. Robots kunnen routinewerk minimaliseren zodat experttechnici zich kunnen concentreren op moeilijke inspecties. Dit kan vooral relevant zijn met een vergrijzende bevolking van technici. Een ander voordeel is dat het werk voor technici aangenamer maakt; robots kunnen saai, gevaarlijk en vuil werk overnemen. Zij hebben geen last van de werkomstandigheden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Royal NLR heeft een systeem ontwikkeld om visuele inspecties van vliegtuigen en componenten te onderzoeken. De bouwstenen zijn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li>E\u00e9n of meer sensoren om het object te scannen. De keuze voor de sensoren hangt af van het type defect dat je wilt vinden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een robot om de sensoren naar de juiste locaties rond het object te bewegen \u2022 Algoritmes om defecten te detecteren, classificeren en meten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatiseringstechnologie om voorgeschreven inspecties autonoom uit te voeren<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>De LE-scanner is een van onze testopstellingen. De initi\u00eble bedoeling was om metalen <em>leading edges<\/em> te inspecteren op deuken, krassen, <em>gauges<\/em>, ontbrekende <em>rivets<\/em> enzovoort. Echter, een van onze andere robots scant composietstructuren. Met behulp van additionele sensoren inspecteren we ook deze composietstructuren op <em>delaminatie<\/em>, <em>skin-to-core-onbonding<\/em> enzovoort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E\u00e9n van de uitdagingen is de automatisering van een inspectierobot. Het vereist niet alleen een robotarm (of een cartesiaanse of delta-robot), maar ook verschillende sensoren om verschillende defecttypen te detecteren, classificeren en meten. En als we grotere objecten inspecteren, kunnen de beelden ook nog eens moeten worden uitgelijnd en samengesteld. Op de achtergrond werken machine vision-technologie en beeldverwerking algoritmes hard om de beelden te verwerken en zinvolle conclusies te trekken. En het is niet voldoende als je \u00e9\u00e9n van de taken kunt uitvoeren; voor een geautomatiseerde inspectie zijn alle stappen nodig. Onze LE-scanner is onze testopstelling om alle verschillende stappen van het proces te integreren om robots in staat te stellen complexe objecten en onderdelen zoals vliegtuigen autonoom te inspecteren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat hebben we gedaan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Royal NLR begon ongeveer 4 jaar geleden met de ontwikkeling van onderhoudstechnologie. We richtten ons op de automatisering van visuele inspecties. We concludeerden dat we sensoren, robots en een beeldverwerking pijplijn nodig hadden om vliegtuigen en componenten op schade te inspecteren. Toen we begonnen, realiseerden we ons snel dat er veel verschillende defecttypen zijn die technici kunnen tegenkomen bij het uitvoeren van inspecties. Dus hebben we in de loop der jaren veel sensortechnologie\u00ebn getest om te zien hoe deze technologie\u00ebn ons kunnen helpen defecten te identificeren en lokaliseren. We worden vaak gevraagd hoe lang het zal duren om visuele inspectietechnologie op de markt te brengen. Nou, als we ervan uitgaan dat we een specifiek onderdeel willen inspecteren op een specifiek defect met een specifieke sensor, dan lijkt het beheersbaar op korte termijn.
