has-guge-font-size\">Onderhoud en Reparatie<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Zowel de civiele als de militaire luchtvaart zijn gebaat bij betere beschikbaarheid en inzetbaarheid van de vloot, lagere onderhoudskosten en duurzaamheid. Ons onderzoek op het gebied van onderhoud en reparatie levert innovatieve onderhouds- en reparatieoplossingen op, waarmee de (Nederlandse) lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie, operators en de luchtmacht een technologische en economische voorsprong verkrijgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-secondary-10-background-color has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-305db4b7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"padding-right:1.5rem;padding-left:1.5rem\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hoofdlijnen van het onderzoek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Onderhoudssystemen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Met betere onderhoudsmiddelen en -procedures kunnen onderhoudsbedrijven hun productiviteit sterk opvoeren. Daarnaast wordt de doorlooptijd van onderhoud korter, waardoor de beschikbaarheid van de vloot ook groter wordt. Met deze doelen voor ogen richten we ons onderzoek op <em>structural health monitoring<\/em>, autonome robots en AI-toepassingen, virtual reality en augmented reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ons onderzoek spitst zich ook toe op monitoring, planning en optimalisatie van de beschikbaarheid en betaalbaarheid van de vloot. Daarnaast doen we onderzoek naar instandhoudingsconcepten van vliegtuigen die worden aangedreven door elektriciteit of waterstof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Platformintegriteit en levensduurbewaking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij voorspellend onderhoud kijken we specifiek naar de levensduurbewaking en het onderhoud van vliegtuigen, en naar platformintegriteit. Platformintegriteit is het bepalen en modelleren van het faalgedrag van vliegtuigconstructies, motoren en systemen als aandrijflijnen en hydraulische pompen. Hiervoor ontwikkelen we kennis en technologie voor het borgen en verbeteren van de luchtwaardigheid en duurzaamheid van vliegtuigconstructies, motorcomponenten en systemen, en voor het uitvoeren van schade- en ongevallenonderzoek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Structures testing &amp; evaluation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Om de vliegtuigindustrie en de vliegtuiggebruikers optimaal te kunnen ondersteunen, evalueert NLR nieuwe constructies en materialen. Dit levert informatie op over de meest kritieke locaties in de constructie waar eventueel verbeteringen moeten worden aangebracht. Ook genereert dit gegevens voor inspectie- en onderhoudsschema\u2019s gedurende het operationele leven van de constructie. Daarnaast ontwikkelen we nieuwe analyse- en inspectietechniekenvoor metalen en composiet. Tot slot onderzoeken we hoe onderhoudsbedrijven en de maakindustrie niet-destructieve inspectietechnieken kunnen inzetten. Daarmee kunnen defecten worden opgespoord die voorheen nauwelijks te detecteren waren, en kunnen inspectietijden drastisch omlaag worden gebracht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart Maintenance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Het geheel aan onderhoudsconcepten, activiteiten en technologie\u00ebn wordt aangeduid met de term Maintenance 4.0 of Smart Maintenance (SMx). In ons onderzoek doen we kennis op over voorspellend onderhoud en de onderliggende SMx-technologie\u00ebn.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-62aae154\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enkele projecten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-50-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-black-50-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-12dd3699 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 40%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">NLR en Development Centre for Composite Maintenance (DCMC)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NLR biedt ondersteuning bij de inzet van een &#8220;ontwikkelbox&#8221; waarop inspectie- en reparatieprocedures en methoden worden ontwikkeld en getest. NLR maakt composiet testpanelen en monteert deze op de ontwikkelbox, waarna onderzocht wordt hoe composietpanelen met cobotsystemen kunnen worden gerepareerd. Hierbij is kennis opgedaan over (i) het integreren van cobots (collaborative robot) in een onderhoudsomgeving voor het uitvoeren van inspectietaken, (ii) het automatiseren van een inspectietaak (automatiseringstechnologie, sensoren, robots) en (iii) het automatische verwerken van de beeldinformatie op basis van AI-technologie. NDI speelt een cruciale rol bij het waarborgen van de luchtwaardigheid van vliegtuigconstructies gedurende hun hele levensduur, van productie tot einde levensduur. Om de betrouwbaarheid van NDI-methoden aan te tonen, moet de Probability of Detection (PoD) worden vastgesteld. Dit vereist het genereren van grote hoeveelheden experimentele data onder verschillende omstandigheden om statistisch verantwoorde resultaten te kunnen behalen. Dit proces is kostbaar en maakt het moeilijk om nieuwe en verbeterde inspectietechnieken in te voeren. Een mogelijke oplossing om het aantal benodigde experimenten te verminderen is het gebruik van data uit numerieke simulaties, bekend als Model-Assisted PoD (MAPoD).<\/p>\n<\/div><figure
