has-guge-font-size\">Vliegtuigoperatie en Certificatie<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Nieuwe, disruptieve technologie\u00ebn mogen de vliegveiligheid niet in gevaar brengen. Daarom moeten al deze technologie\u00ebn, zoals elektrisch vliegen, <em>scaled flight testing<\/em> en onbemande systemen, certificeerbaar zijn. Ook opkomende technologie\u00ebn in combinatie met <em>digital engineering<\/em>, <em>explainable AI<\/em>, <em>certification by simulation<\/em> en <em>virtual certification and testing<\/em> vinden steeds meer hun weg naar toepassingen die het mogelijk moeten maken om het certificatieproces van nieuw te ontwikkelen vliegende systemen te verkorten, zonder in te leveren op veiligheid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We voeren werkzaamheden uit aan onze onderzoeksvliegtuigen (Citation PH-LAB en Pipistrel PH-NLX), om ze in te kunnen zetten voor praktijktesten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ons onderzoek op het gebied van nieuwe en\/of duurzame technologie\u00ebn draagt bij aan de certificeerbare implementatie ervan. Bovendien kunnen marktpartijen gebruik maken van onze onderzoeksfaciliteiten, waaronder onze onderzoeksvliegtuigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-secondary-10-background-color has-background is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-305db4b7 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\" style=\"padding-right:1.5rem;padding-left:1.5rem\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hoofdlijnen van het onderzoek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Certificatie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>De beoogde impact van dit onderzoek is om de certificeerbaarheid van nieuwe technologie\u00ebn te verbeteren dan wel mogelijk te maken. Het gaat hierbij bijvoorbeeld om nieuwe aandrijftechnologie (elektrisch en\/of waterstof) en om het gebruik van AI in de cockpit, met als doel de vliegveiligheid te verbeteren en\/of de werkdruk te verminderen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flight Test Support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We onderzoeken technologische ontwikkelingen, zoals het toepassen van modulaire FTI-systemen (Flight Test Instrumentation) en het gebruik van SAS-systemen (Stand Alone Sensor). Het doel daarvan is tweeledig: tegemoetkomen aan de belangrijkste wens van klanten om vliegtuigen sneller beschikbaar te hebben voor vliegproeven, en het verminderen van de impact van modificaties op onderzoeksvliegtuigen. We passen dit in de praktijk toe bij onze onderzoeksvliegtuigen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duurzame vliegprofielen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Met dit onderzoek, uitgevoerd met ons onderzoeksvliegtuig, willen wij bijdragen aan het verminderen van de negatieve effecten van luchtvaart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-b0b89ccb\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inzet van grote onbemande systemen <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Door middel van dit onderzoek willen wij de inzet van grote onbemande systemen (certified category) mogelijk maken binnen onze vliegoperatie, bijvoorbeeld voor onderzoek voor Defensie en het uitvoeren van meetvluchten rondom luchthavens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer wp-container-content-62aae154\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enkele projecten<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-black-50-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-black-50-background-color has-background\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-12dd3699 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-center\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 40%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kennisdeling elektrisch vliegen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NLR heeft kennis uitgewisseld met het ROC Amsterdam-Flevoland over ervaringen met elektrisch vliegen. Sinds eind 2022 beschikt het ROC over een elektrische Pipistrel, net als NLR. Daarnaast is er een overeenkomst met de Rotterdamsche Aeroclub (RAC), waardoor leden van de RAC kunnen vliegen met de Pipistrel van NLR. In 2023 zijn de eerste metingen uitgevoerd met Instrument Landing System (ILS) bij Luchthaven Deelen, een bekend ILS-systeem. Bovendien zijn er testvluchten uitgevoerd bij het NLR Drone Centre in Marknesse om de DFI-systeemontwikkeling en de praktische ILS-meetprocedures te verbeteren.
