Het NLR beschikt over twee onderzoeksvliegtuigen: een Cessna Citation II en een elektrische Pipistrel Velis Electro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met het onderzoeksvliegtuig Cessna Citation II kan een breed scala aan vluchtproeven uitgevoerd worden. Na een groot aantal aanpassingen is dit zakelijke tweemotorige vliegtuig, uitgerust met drukcabine, omgebouwd tot een veelzijdig vliegend onderzoeksplatform. De onderwerpen van vluchtproeven vari\u00ebren van aerodynamica, vliegmechanica, zwaartekracht, atmosfeer, teledetectie vanuit de lucht en vliegtestmethoden tot systeemtests, luchtverkeersleiding, luchtvaartelektronica, alternatieve brandstoffen en vluchtinspecties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-default has-black-5-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained systeem voor de testapparatuur aan boord<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een aanvullend en afzonderlijk hydraulisch systeem met 3000 psi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bepalingen op de romp voor het monteren van externe pods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een groot aantal voorzieningen in de cockpit en cabine voor het plaatsen van testapparatuur<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een antennerek op de romp van het vliegtuig voor de bevestiging van meerdere antennes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Panelen onder de vleugels voor het monteren van antennes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een nose boom met alfa\/b\u00e8ta-vinnen of een sonde met vijf gaten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een rompkap, met een naar voren gericht optisch kijkglas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verschillende metalen insteekplaten voor het vervangen van bestaande vensters, waarop testapparatuur gemonteerd kan
