NLR beschikt over twee onderzoeksvliegtuigen: een Cessna Citation II en een elektrische Pipistrel Velis Electro.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Pipistrel Velis Electro is het eerste elektrisch aangedreven vliegtuig dat in juni 2020 gecertificeerd is in Europa. NLR beschikt sinds eind 2020 over dit vliegtuig dat ingezet wordt als onderdeel van het Living Lab Electric Flight (LLEF). Dit is een virtueel kenniscentrum waarin NLR samen met andere relevante partijen kennis en ervaringen op het gebied van duurzaamheid op een laagdrempelige wijze wil uitwisselen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De Pipistrel is een van de testplatformen van NLR waarop innovatieve technologie laagdrempelig uitgeprobeerd en gedemonstreerd kan worden. Voor NLR is het onderzoek met de Pipistrel Velis Electro een belangrijke stap om kennis en ervaring op te bouwen van gedrag en eigenschappen die bij een elektrisch aangedreven vliegtuig class=\"wp-block-heading\">Belangrijkste kenmerken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li>Volledig elektrisch aangedreven eenmotorig propellervliegtuig.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Twee parallel aangesloten lithium-batterijen, elk met een energie-inhoud van 11 kWh.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Het toestel kan ongeveer 50 minuten achtereenvolgens vliegen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De tweezitter is primair bedoeld om piloten op te leiden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thuisbasis: Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTHA).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div
