Ons onderzoek richt zich op de vroege ontwikkelingsfase (laag TRL) \u00a0of heeft als doel bestaande systemen te verbeteren. We ontwikkelen ook geavanceerde meetmethoden om geluidsbronnen te lokaliseren en te kwantificeren, en gebruiken verschillende stromingsmeettechnieken, zoals deeltjesvisualisatie (PIV) met heliumgevulde zeepbellen en hotwire-metingen, om complexe luchtstromen kwalitatief en kwantitatief in kaart te brengen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De NLR-AWT wordt gebruikt voor onderzoek naar de geluidsproductie van materialen en vormen. De tunnel bestaat uit een gesloten circuit dat uitkomt in een akoestische kamer, ook wel bekend als de &#8220;anecho\u00efsche ruimte&#8221; of &#8220;dode kamer&#8221;. Deze kamer is volledig bekleed met schuimrubber wiggen die meer dan 99% van alle geluid boven 200 Hz absorberen, waardoor een zeer realistische geluidsmeting mogelijk is. In de windtunnel worden meestal schaalmodellen gebruikt, maar ook onderdeelmodellen en zelfs volledige schaalmodellen kunnen worden getest. De NLR-AWT heeft een breed scala aan projecten mogelijk gemaakt, waaronder tests voor de ontwikkeling van geavanceerde meetmethoden, lawaaionderzoek van landingsgestellen en windturbines in de open straal-testsectie, evenals aerodynamische tests zoals sondekalibraties in de gesloten testsectie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-default has-black-5-background-color has-background is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-24567ffd wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hoofdkenmerken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li>Gesloten windtunnel, uitgerust met twee 180 kW axiale ventilatoren, met open straal- en gesloten testsecties<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grote anecho\u00efsche ruimte (9 x 8 x 6 m), volledig bedekt met 0,5 m schuimwiggen met een geluidsabsorptie van meer dan 99% boven 200 Hz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In het frequentiebereik tussen 200 Hz en 20.000 Hz voldoet de echovrije ruimte aan ISO 3745:2017<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In de open straalconfiguratie kunnen windsnelheden tot 100 m\/s worden bereikt, in de gesloten testsectie van 0,8\u00d70,6 m<sup>2<\/sup> loopt de maximale windsnelheid zelfs op tot 120 m\/s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>De uniformiteit van de stroming in de open straal ligt op de meetlocatie binnen 0,1%, de turbulentie-intensiteit ligt in de orde van 0,1%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Achtergrondgeluidsdrukniveaus (Overall Sound Pressure Levels &#8211; OASPL) op 1 m afstand van het mondstuk vari\u00ebren van 58 dB(A) bij Ma=0,1 tot 80 dB(A) bij M=0,2<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laag vrij stromingsturbulentieniveau in het gesloten testgedeelte (0,01-0,02% @ 20 m\/s, 0,02-0,03 @ 60 m\/s en 0,04-0,06% @ 100 m\/s)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Er is instrumentatie en testapparatuur beschikbaar zoals verschillende soorten microfoons, een microfoonarray voor bronlocalisatie en variabele drukmeetsystemen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verschillende dynamische acquisitiesystemen (tot 200 kHz) voor akoestische of andere instabiele metingen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lasers, hogesnelheidscamera\u2019s en dubbel frame camera&#8217;s voor stromingsvisualisatietechnieken<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Een balans voor het meten van aerodynamische krachten<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hotwire apparatuur voor het meten van
