NLR Smart Industry Fieldlab for Automated Composites, Metal Manufacturing and Maintenance, kortweg ACM3, ondersteunt bedrijven bij het ontwikkelen van lichtgewicht systemen van composiet en\/of metaal. Een van de kerngebieden waar ACM3 zich op richt is additive manufacturing van high-performance metalen en polymeren.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ultimaker, wereldwijd toonaangevend aanbieder op het gebied van desktop 3D-printen, werkt volgens een open materiaalstrategie die het mogelijk maakt applicaties te printen met verschillende materialen en specifieke eigenschappen, waaronder hitte-, schok- en chemische bestendigheid, flexibiliteit en sterkte. Dit bedrijf betrekt een brede waaier aan high-performance kunststoffen, versterkt met bijvoorbeeld met carbon of glasvezel, van externe leveranciers. Deze materialen worden geleverd met geoptimaliseerde printprofielen van Ultimaker Marketplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACM3 richt zich niet alleen op de verwerking van vezelversterkte composieten en additive manufacturing van high-performance metalen zoals aluminium, titanium, magnesium en inconel. Het fieldlab werkt ook aan uitbreiding van zijn reikwijdte op het gebied van additive manufacturing door printen met high-performance (vezelversterkte) polymeren zoals PEEK en PEKK en metaalfilamenten mogelijk te maken.
