In april 2024 werd het Europese Clean Sky 2 STUNNING-project met succes afgerond. GKN Fokker, NLR, Technische Universiteit Delft en SamXLabs hebben met succes de 8m x 4m composietrompshell gefabriceerd en door lassen geassembleerd, met passagiersvloer, cargo-ruimte en uitgerust met systemen, een van &#8217;s werelds grootste thermoplastische componenten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deze composietstructuur werd gefabriceerd als onderdeel van de Multi-Functionele Fuselage Demonstrator (MFFD) onder leiding van Airbus, waarbij de onderste en bovenste helft uiteindelijk werden samengevoegd. Dit demonstreert hoe het gebruik van thermoplastische composieten kan helpen bij het realiseren van een next-gen vloot van vliegtuigen die dezelfde sterkte en duurzaamheid als aluminium kunnen bieden, terwijl het totale gewicht van de romp en de daaropvolgende vliegtuigemissies drastisch wordt verlaagd. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De video toont het volledige productieproces van NLR, inclusief geavanceerde inspectie, van de onderste huid van de MFFD als eerste, enkele onderdeel in de assemblage van de onderste helft van de MFFD, waarmee een eerder, meer gedetailleerde film over de AFP-opbouw van de huid wordt afgerond.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Geavanceerde thermoplastische composiettechnologie en slimme robotica zullen het gewicht en de productiekosten van toekomstige vliegtuigen met een hoge productiesnelheid aanzienlijk verlagen.
