Voordat drones echt in grote aantallen door de lucht kunnen vliegen, moet er een luchtverkeersleidingsysteem zijn voor onbemande vliegtuigen (U-Space). Koninklijk NLR test samen met Europese projectpartners het voorganger van een dergelijk systeem. De eerste resultaten zijn veelbelovend: onlangs uitgevoerde testvluchten als onderdeel van het Europese AMU-LED-project verliepen soepel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Begin augustus werden een aantal demonstratievluchten boven Amsterdam uitgevoerd als onderdeel van AMU-LED, het eerste van een reeks testvluchten in Nederland. Tijdens deze demonstratievluchten werden verschillende scenario&#8217;s uitgevoerd, waarbij telkens verschillende technologische en procedurele aspecten aan bod kwamen. De lessen die hieruit worden getrokken, vormen het uiteindelijke UAM-ecosysteem.
