Het Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum (NLR) en partners in het EC Horizon2020 ACASIAS-project hebben een nieuw composiet romppaneel ontwikkeld dat gebruikt kan worden voor de conformale en volledige integratie van elektronisch stuurbaar gefaseerde antennearrays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het romppaneel heeft een huid van koolstofvezelversterkte polymeren (CFRP) met een glasvezelversterkte polymeren (GFRP) venster. De huid is aan de binnenkant verstevigd door een regelmatige orthogrid-celstructuur met CFRP-ribben. Het orthogrid-paneel is ontworpen volgens typische structurele eisen: de CFRP-huid met glasvenster kan schuiflasten dragen en de CFRP-ribben kunnen compressie- en treklasten van een vliegtuigromp dragen. Voor de productie van deze roostersstructuur werd een geautomatiseerde vezelplaatsingsmachine gebruikt, gevolgd door een hoge-drukbewerking onder verwarming. Tijdens deze bewerking werden de ribben ondersteund door een herbruikbare siliconen vacu\u00fcmtas (geen tooling-blokken waren nodig). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De ge\u00efntegreerde Ku-bandantenne zelf bestaat uit 6 x 6 tegels, waarvan elk uit drie afzonderlijke complexe multi-laags PCB&#8217;s (Printed Circuit Boards) bestaat: de antennepcb, de RF-distributie-pcb en de versterker-pcb.
