Wanneer het afgezette materiaal te veel is afgekoeld, krijg je een slechte hechting tussen de lagen, wat leidt tot onvoldoende sterkte, delaminatie, barsten en scheuren van het onderdeel. Als het materiaal niet voldoende is afgekoeld, kan het de opeenvolgende lagen niet ondersteunen, waardoor printmislukking ontstaat. De controle van de interface-temperatuur is vooral belangrijk bij het uitvoeren van grootschalige prints en bij het verwerken van semikristallijne thermoplasten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het upgraden van de LSAM-apparatuur met het Directed Energy Material Extrusion (DEMEX)-systeem, ontwikkeld door LEAM, stelde NLR in staat om de interface-temperatuur te controleren en aan te passen met behulp van actief verwarmen, koelen of adaptieve printsnelheid. Deze upgrade maakt verder onderzoek naar nieuwe toepassingen mogelijk, zoals overprinting. NLR zal onderzoeken hoe stiftelementen op een substraat (bijvoorbeeld composietpanelen) kunnen worden overgeprint met behulp van LSAM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"NXTGEN HIGHTECH E-mobility - Large Scale Additive Manufacturing high performance thermoplastics\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eFtzrb730Y4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat hebben we gedaan?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: inherit; background-color: var(--wp--preset--color--white); font-weight: inherit;\">Een apparatuurupgrade werd uitgevoerd op de LSAM-installatie van NLR, waardoor een betere temperatuurbesturing mogelijk werd tijdens het printproces.
