Project <a href=\"https:\/\/hollandhightech.nl\/programma-s-en-projecten\/projecten\/painted-metallic-aircraft-scrap-neutralizing-toxic-hazards-and-exposure-risk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PANTHER<\/a> is een samenwerkingsverband tussen Koninklijke NLR, SEEF BV, Aethos en industri\u00eble partner AELS gericht op het mogelijk maken van veiligere verwerking van geverfd metaalafval van End-of-Life (EoL) vliegtuigromponderdelen om aluminiumrecycling te faciliteren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Chroom-6 (Cr(VI)) in geverfd aluminium van EoL-vliegtuigen zorgt voor milieu- en gezondheidsrisico\u2019s. Veilig omgaan met en transport van dit metaalschroot wordt belemmerd door de huidige technische restricties en wetgeving. Dit blokkeert de waardeketen, wat verhindert dat hergebruik van aluminium bijdraagt aan de circulaire economie. Door innovatieve oplossingen te ontwikkelen die verfverwijdering v\u00f3\u00f3r het recyclingproces overbodig maken, kunnen significante veiligheids-, afvalbeheer- en kostenvoordelen behaald worden voor recycling van gechromeerd afval. Op lange termijn zal het hergebruik van secundair aluminium de EU-aanvoer ondersteunen, de uitstoot van broeikasgassen uit de primaire productie reduceren, en een <em>compliance<\/em>-kader voor een stabielere aluminiumwaardeketen tot stand brengen.
