Binnen NLR vormt deze technologie de basis voor een breed scala aan koeloplossingen waarmee materialen, componenten en complete structuren onder realistische koude- en diepcryogene omstandigheden kunnen worden getest.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">NLR heeft baanbrekend werk verricht op het gebied van geavanceerde koelsystemen voor materiaal- en constructietests, in een traject dat begon bij \u201355 \u00b0C en uiteindelijk extreme temperaturen bereikte, zoals \u2013253 \u00b0C. NLR heeft de afgelopen tijd stappen gezet om het testen van waterstoftanks op ware grootte, onderdelen van brandstofsystemen en waterstof\u2011elektrische aandrijflijnen mogelijk te maken. Het nastreven van deze doelstellingen is essentieel om in 2050 klimaatneutrale luchtvaart te bewerkstelligen. De snelle technologische ontwikkelingen en hoge eisen maken koudetest-technologie onmisbaar in de lucht- en ruimtevaartindustrie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Het testcentrum van NLR heeft modulaire en specifieke koeloplossingen ontwikkeld voor materiaal- en constructietests, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van diverse cryogene en thermische apparatuur. NLR&#8217;s benadering legt de nadruk op betaalbaarheid, onderhoudsgemak, veiligheid, schaalbaarheid en precisie, over een breed temperatuurbereik. De ontwikkelde systemen zijn hoogautonom, geschikt voor continue (24\/7) operatie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Typische testtemperaturen zijn:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li><strong>Koud -55 \u00b0C \/ 218 K<\/strong>: standaardtemperatuur voor vliegtuigen op kruishoogte.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-default\">\n<li>Gekoeld met vloeibare stikstof (LN<sub>2<\/sub>) en voorzien van een temperatuurregeling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li><strong>Cryogene temperatuur van -169 \u00b0C \/ 104 K<\/strong>: voor leidingstructuren voor het transport van LNG (vloeibaar aardgas). <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Temperatuur van -180 \u00b0C \/ 93 K voor specifieke ruimteconstructies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gekoeld met vloeibare stikstof (LN<sub>2<\/sub>) en voorzien van een temperatuurregeling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li><strong>Diepcryogene temperatuur van -253 \u00b0C \/ 20 K<\/strong>: voor toepassingen met vloeibare waterstof (het kookpunt van waterstof).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gebruik van diverse cryogene gassen voor temperatuurregeling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gebruik van thermische apparatuur voor koeleffici\u00ebntie.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mechanische tests kunnen worden uitgevoerd in overeenstemming met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list is-style-with-arrow\">\n<li>ASTM-normen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AITM-normen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ISO-normen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aangepaste eisen voor unieke niet-standaard
