Voor een duurzame lucht- en ruimtevaart worden binnen de projectoproep Clean SKY 2 verschillende Europese onderzoeksprogramma&#8217;s ge\u00efnitieerd. E\u00e9n van deze programma&#8217;s heet <em>Advanced Laminar Flow tAilplane,<\/em> ALFA. Een manier om de CO2-uitstoot van vliegtuigen te verminderen de luchtweerstand verlagen (de aerodynamische kracht die de verplaatsing van een vliegtuig door de lucht tegenwerkt). Dit kan worden bereikt door laminaire stroming over de vleugel te cre\u00ebren. Voor laminaire stroming is een uiterst glad oppervlak vereist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Binnen het ALFA-programma onderzoekt Koninklijke NLR verschillende productietechnieken om een <em>leading edge<\/em> zonder bevestigingsmiddelen te cre\u00ebren. Een idee zou kunnen zijn om de ribben aan de huid van de <em>leading edge <\/em>te verlijmen. Een volledig verlijmde verbinding met bevestigingsmiddelen is echter moeilijk te certificeren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Onze aanpak?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Er werden twee alternatieve concepten ontwikkeld: een<em> vacuum assistant resin transfer moulding<\/em> (VARTM)-proces met eenmalige harsinjectie en een <em>prepreg<\/em>-autoclaaf-uithardingsproces met ge\u00efntegreerde ribben. Voor beide processen werden de <em>preforms <\/em>gemaakt door middel van geavanceerde <em>fibre placement, <\/em>met respectievelijk droge vezels en <em>prepreg<\/em>-tapes. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>De ribben werden uit platte platen gestanst en aan de hand van vacu\u00fcmpersen in de gewenste 3D-configuratie gevormd.
