Het maakt snellere, effici\u00ebntere en duurzamere transportoplossingen (zoals vliegende taxi&#8217;s en andere grote drones) in stedelijke gebieden mogelijk. Er zijn echter nog een aantal uitdagingen die overwonnen moeten worden, voordat UAM realiteit kan worden. Hierbij gaat het onder meer om de organisatie van het lagere luchtruim, het op een veilige manier opschalen van vluchtbewegingen, integratie met ATM, de ontwikkeling van een architectuur die de vluchtbewegingen kan ondersteunen en de maatschappelijke acceptatie.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AMU-LED onderzoekt de mogelijkheden van U-space om UAM mogelijk te maken. Hiervoor moeten vragen beantwoord worden over de rijpheid van concepten en technologie, de uitdagingen en wat er moet gebeuren om deze nieuwe vorm van mobiliteit in steden te implementeren. Met AMU-LED kunnen belanghebbenden bij UAM verschillende use cases specificeren die toepasbaar zijn op logistiek en stedelijk passagiersvervoer, om de UAM-omgeving te integreren, om de UAS-grond- en luchtplatforms te demonstreren en om tot slot de veiligheid, beveiliging, duurzaamheid en publieke acceptatie te beoordelen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>AMU-LED zal UAM-demonstraties en -vluchten in de praktijk uitvoeren met behulp van U-space. Hierbij worden verschillende soorten drones ingezet om verschillende scenario&#8217;s, use cases en toepassingen te demonstreren (bijv. luchttaxi&#8217;s, hulpdiensten, levering van goederen, karteringen, enz.) om de onderzoeksvragen te demonstreren en te onderzoeken. Daartoe zullen in de tweede helft van 2022 in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Spanje en Nederland verschillende belangrijke vluchtdemonstraties plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat doen wij?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Het project wordt uitgevoerd in een consortium met bedrijven uit Nederland, Spanje en het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Gezamenlijk is een uitgebreid state-of-the-art onderzoek opgezet waarbij rekening wordt gehouden met alle relevante aspecten. Voorbeeldtoepassingen zijn taxivluchten vanuit de stad naar een luchthaven en <em>last-mile <\/em>bezorging door drones. Er wordt specifiek gelet op noodvluchten voor de politie, ambulance en brandweer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Binnen de gemeente Amsterdam gaat NLR onderzoek doen naar de koppeling met de luchtverkeersleiding van Schiphol en de koppeling met ander vliegverkeer op aanvliegroutes naar de luchthaven. Ook laten we zien dat U-space, de luchtverkeersleiding voor drones, kan helpen bij vliegen in situaties waarin de piloot de drone niet meer ziet.
