Soms kan het herkend worden aan de gele kleur. De aanwezigheid van chroomhoudend stof vormt een gezondheidsrisico voor monteurs en andere mensen die ermee in contact komen. Daarom moeten we ons afvragen waar het stof vandaan komt en hoe we de risico&#8217;s voor het personeel kunnen beperken, zodat het vliegtuig veilig kan worden bediend en onderhouden.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Het gezondheidsrisico dat chroomhoudend stof met zich meebrengt, moet worden opgelost. Om het huidige en toekomstige risico te kunnen beoordelen, moeten een aantal vragen worden beantwoord:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Waar wordt chroomhoudend stof aangetroffen?<br>2. Wat is de oorsprong van dit stof?<br>3. Kan het stof voldoende worden gereinigd om het gezondheidsrisico uit te bannen?<br>4. Onder welke omstandigheden ontstaat chroomhoudend stof?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Analyse van de plekken waar chroomhoudend stof wordt aangetroffen, kan informatie opleveren over de oorsprong van het stof. Daarnaast is ook de hoeveelheid chromaat in het stof van belang voor de risicoanalyse. Reinigingsprocedures kunnen worden toegepast om chroomhoudend stof te verwijderen, ongeacht of het stof zich op het vliegtuig of op de motor bevindt. Aanvullende laboratoriumproeven worden uitgevoerd om de omstandigheden te bepalen waaronder de vorming van chromaten op verschillende materialen bij verhoogde temperaturen mogelijk is.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat doen wij?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>De aanwezigheid of afwezigheid van chromaten in het stof wordt aangetoond met veegproeven. Deze bevatten reagentia die een snelle kleurverandering vertonen in de aanwezigheid van chromaten. De exacte hoeveelheid chromaten wordt voor een selectie van locaties bepaald door middel van laboratoriumanalyse. De plekken waar chromaten worden aangetroffen, leveren informatie over de oorsprong van het stof.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>De plekken op het vliegtuig waar chromaat werd aangetroffen, werden eerst schoongemaakt en vervolgens gecontroleerd met behulp van veegproeven om de effectiviteit van de reiniging te bepalen.
