Hiervoor zijn goedkope hardware- en softwareoplossingen nodig, die momenteel nauwelijks verkrijgbaar zijn. Er wordt gewerkt aan miniaturisatie en toepassing van thermische regelsystemen, maar het evalueren van ontwerpiteraties wordt belemmerd door het gebrek aan thermische analyse, wat grote onzekerheden met zich meebrengt in het thermische ontwerp van CubeSats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ISIS \u2013 <em>Innovative Solutions in Space<\/em> en Koninklijke NLR hebben samengewerkt aan een innovatieve modulaire aanpak voor thermische analyses van CubeSat in ESATAN-TMS. De sleutel tot deze aanpak is de uitwisselbaarheid en schaalbaarheid van gevalideerde thermische submodellen, waardoor snelle en nauwkeurigere analyses voor LEO-missies mogelijk zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>De expertise van NLR met ESATAN-TMS wordt in dit project toegepast om een modulaire aanpak op te zetten voor thermische modellering van CubeSats. Thermisch relevante submodellen worden gebouwd voor commercieel verkrijgbare subblokken, zoals de ISIS TXS-module en algemene bouwstenen van een CubeSat-frame. Deze is zo gebouwd dat hij eenvoudig kan worden aangepast en geassembleerd tot een compleet CubeSat-systeem. Het correct modelleren van interfaces tussen submodellen is hierbij van cruciaal belang voor de thermische volwassenheid van het model. Daarom wordt er bij de montage veel aandacht besteed aan dit kleine detail. In de volgende fase van het project werden de thermische submodules gecorreleerd met de resultaten van thermische vacu\u00fcmtesten. Deze correlatie resulteert uiteindelijk in een geverifieerd thermisch model van de submodules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"921\" height=\"454\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1627_cubesat_esatan_sim.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2518\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1627_cubesat_esatan_sim.png 921w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1627_cubesat_esatan_sim-300x148.png 300w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1627_cubesat_esatan_sim-768x379.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 921px) 100vw, 921px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat doen wij?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Er wordt een bibliotheek met gevalideerde thermische submodellen gemaakt in ESATAN-TMS, waarmee snelle en nauwkeurige orbitale analyses mogelijk worden, wat resulteert in verbeterde thermische ontwerpen van CubeSats. Fabrikanten en integratoren van CubeSats kunnen de thermisch geverifieerde submodellen in ESATAN-TMS gebruiken en de ontwikkeltijd van het ontwerp van een CubeSat inkorten door thermische modellering in een vroeg stadium van de ontwerpcyclus te implementeren. Het complete paneel wordt op een vrouwelijke mal in een autoclaaf uitgehard bij hoge temperatuur en druk. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Om de verstijvingen tijdens dit proces te ondersteunen, werden geen arbeidsintensieve gereedschappen gebruikt. In plaats van een groot aantal steunblokken, zoals meestal gebruikelijk is, is een siliconenzak ontwikkeld. De siliconenzak heeft hetzelfde patroon als het uiteindelijke paneel met verstijvingen. Op deze manier werd een betaalbaar paneel gemaakt met ge\u00efntegreerde verstijvingen.
