De beschikbare ruimte in de modellen was minimaal, waardoor het ontwerp en de instrumentatie van de modellen geoptimaliseerd moesten worden. De modulariteit van de ge\u00efnstrumenteerde boosters zorgde voor een grotere complexiteit, maar voor ArianeGroup zeker ook voor meer functionaliteit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Resultaten van windtunneltesten die zijn uitgevoerd op de door NLR aangeleverde modellen, hebben de ontwerpteams van ArianeGroup waardevolle gegevens opgeleverd waarmee ze het ontwerp konden verbeteren. Dit heeft bijgedragen aan het realiseren van de doelstellingen van het Ariane 6-project: een betrouwbare, flexibele en concurrerende draagraket.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Succesvolle lancering van Ariane 6 met vier boosters<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Op 12 februari 2026 werd een belangrijke stap gezet met de lancering van de eerste Ariane 6-raket met vier boosters vanaf Guiana Space Centre. Deze raket is uitgerust met een lange neuskegel die verticaal opensplitst en biedt een significante prestatieverbetering ten opzichte van zijn voorgangers. De Ariane 64-configuratie met vier boosters verdubbelt de capaciteit van de raket, waardoor deze tot 21,6 ton naar een lage aardbaan kan vervoeren.
