Dit concept is erop gericht om de stilstand van de motor en de onderhoudskosten tot een minimum te beperken, met behoud van het vereiste prestatieniveau en luchtwaardigheid. Hiervoor is het noodzakelijk dat de actuele motorconditie kan worden vastgesteld. Deze conditie moet vervolgens op betrouwbare wijze ge\u00ebxtrapoleerd worden naar een geschikt moment in de toekomst, om het planningsproces te vergemakkelijken.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De uitdaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij oudere vliegtuigmotoren wordt een rudimentaire vorm van conditiemonitoring uitgevoerd. Daarbij is het lastig om de conditie nauwkeurig vast te stellen en te extrapoleren, zonder ingrijpende en tijdrovende inspecties na de vlucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>NLR heeft een alternatieve en eenvoudige aanpak ontwikkeld, Engine Conditioned Trend Monitoring, om de huidige en toekomstige motorconditie vast te stellen op basis van de beperkte gegevens die beschikbaar zijn via de digitale motorbesturing (digital engine control unit &#8211; DECU) die op veel oudere vliegtuigmotoren aanwezig is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1-1024x512.png\" alt=\"Engine Condition Trend Monitoring for\npredictive maintenance\" class=\"wp-image-2493\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1-1024x512.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1-300x150.png 300w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1-768x384.png 768w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1-1320x660.png 1320w, https:\/\/www.nlr.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/copyright_nlr_e1630_d-cclgraph_highres-1500x750-1.png 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wat doen wij?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Voor een specifieke turboshaftmotor die wordt gebruikt in een militaire helikopter hebben we een datagestuurde aanpak ontwikkeld om op empirische wijze een maatstaf af te leiden voor de algehele conditie van de motor op basis van een handvol sensorgegevens, namelijk het motorkoppel, de inlaattemperatuur van de turbine, de luchtsnelheid, de buitentemperatuur en de drukhoogte.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:10px\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>We konden de achteruitgang van de motor in de loop van de tijd vaststellen en deze in verband brengen met specifieke gebruikspatronen en onderhoudsacties. Hierdoor kon de helikopteroperator predictief onderhoud uitvoeren op basis van het operationele gebied en het gebruik van de helikopter.
