Hiermee wordt een oplossing geboden voor de behoefte aan temperatuurcontrole tijdens toekomstige ruimtemissies voor telecommunicatie. De ontwikkelde technologie zal overdraagbaar zijn naar andere satellietladingen<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een consortium met 6 toonaangevende partners uit de ruimtevaart- en thermische industrie werken samen aan dit project. Aan de kant van NLR wordt het koelsysteem gemodelleerd in het eigen tweefasenkoelsysteemmodel van NLR. Hierbij wordt een kwantitatieve analyse van de toepasbare koelvloeistoffen uitgevoerd, om uiteindelijk de meest optimaal werkende vloeistof te selecteren. Zodra een vloeistof is geselecteerd, wordt het volledige ontwerp van het tweefasenkoelsysteem bepaald. Hierbij gaat het om de keuze van een pomp, verwarmingselementen, compatibele materialen en het ontwerp van de verdamper. Zodra het ontwerp definitief is, worden de benodigde onderdelen gefabriceerd en geassembleerd. Hierbij wordt gebruik gemaakt van <em>Additive Manufacturing<\/em>, voor de productie van het verdampergedeelte.
