Daarmee kunnen de zonnepanelen groene stroom gaan leveren, vergelijkbaar met het stroomverbruik van 17.000 huishoudens.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het bedrijf HVC is actief in zowel de energie- als de afvalketen en wil een actieve bijdrage leveren aan het versnellen van de energietransitie. Samen met de Stichting Energieneutraal Noordelijk Flevoland (SENF) hebben ze de handen ineen geslagen om een zonnepark te ontwikkelen op het terrein van het Koninklijk Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum (NLR) en DNW, de Duits-Nederlandse Windtunnels, in Marknesse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In de winter van 2023 was het eerste zonnepaneel van ca. 74.000 panelen geplaatst. Samen bestrijken deze een oppervlakte van zo\u2019n 250.000 m<sup>2<\/sup>. Dat zijn nagenoeg 36 voetbalvelden. Het zonnepark Sunspace is op het elektriciteitsnet aangesloten via de bestaande netaansluiting van DNW en is het inmiddels operationeel. De panelen moeten jaarlijks genoeg elektriciteit kunnen opwekken vergelijkbaar met het stroomgebruik van 17.000 huishoudens. Het is daarmee op dit moment het grootste operationele zonnepark dat HVC heeft ontwikkeld. De beschikbaarheid van de groene stroom zorgt ervoor dat ruim 18.000 ton aan CO<sub>2<\/sub>-uitstoot wordt vermeden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Het zonnepark maakt gebruik van de bestaande netaansluiting van DNW. Hierdoor kan DNW ook stroom afnemen van Sunspace ter verdere verduurzaming van hun bedrijfsvoering. \u201cEr zijn forse veranderingen nodig om in 2050 klimaatneutraal te zijn\u201d, benadrukt Michel Peters, CEO van NLR. \u201cOnze primaire focus ligt daarvoor op het verduurzamen van de luchtvaart, maar daar houdt het uiteraard niet op. Het is daarom mooi om via deze ontwikkeling ook te kunnen bijdragen aan de energietransitie in Nederland\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arjan ten Elshof aan, directeur Duurzame Energie bij HVC vult aan: \u201cDoor onze kennis van complexe zon- en windprojecten te combineren met de kennis van onze lokale partners, ondersteunen wij onze aandeelhouders met het invullen van hun duurzaamheidsopgave.
