Tegelijkertijd is klimaatneutraal tegen 2050 een doelstelling waaraan de luchtvaart een belangrijke bijdrage moet leveren. Het verminderen van de uitstoot van broeikasgassen is daarom een van de grootste uitdagingen bij de ontwikkeling van toekomstige commerci\u00eble vliegtuigen. Een van de onderzoeksdoelstellingen van TRANSCEND is om het effect van de introductie van op waterstof (H2) aangedreven vliegtuigen op de wereldwijde uitstoot van broeikasgassen in 2050 te schatten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#eff5fb\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De oplossing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In onze simulaties neemt het relatieve aantal vluchten met H2-vliegtuigen van 2035 tot 2050 toe met maximaal 38% in het scenario met weinig vliegverkeer, en maximaal 35% in het scenario met veel vliegverkeer. Dit leidt tot een vermindering van de wereldwijde bruto CO2-uitstoot op vlootniveau van 20% (scenario met weinig vliegverkeer) en 16% (scenario met veel vliegverkeer) tegen 2050, vergeleken met de situatie waarin geen H2-vliegtuigen worden ge\u00efntroduceerd. Daarentegen stegen de wereldwijde bruto-energieconsumptie en NOx-emissies licht en namen de H2O-emissies aanzienlijk toe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Onze aanpak?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-f0342b05 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\" style=\"margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: inherit; background-color: var(--wp--preset--color--white); font-weight: inherit;\">Het potentieel van op H2 gebaseerde vliegtuigvoortstuwing werd zowel op vliegtuigniveau als op vlootniveau onderzocht. Configuraties met H2-motoren (die in de toekomst in dienst zullen worden genomen) werden conceptueel gedimensioneerd en beoordeeld op basis van het energieverbruik en de emissies tijdens de missie voor drie verschillende ICAO-zitplaatsen in het bereik van 20 tot 300 zitplaatsen: een regionale turboprop<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>configuratie, een turbofan-configuratie met enkel gangpad en een turbofan-configuratie met twee gangpaden. De resultaten van de vliegtuigmodellering werden toegepast in een wereldwijde analyse op vlootniveau (voor de periode 2020-2050) met verschillende scenario&#8217;s voor verkeersontwikkeling (met voornamelijk verschillen in termen van de groei van luchtverkeer, aangeduid als laag en hoog).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"
