The added value of applied research

1 minute read

What results does applied research achieve and what is its intended impact? The collaborating organisations in applied research are once again using magazine articles to put the spotlight on various exceptional pieces of research.

TO2 federation Top Sector Policy

Once a year, the TO2MORROW magazine presents some of the exceptional results of the research and collaboration between the five TO2 institutes. It is an accessibly written ‘Impact Report’ in which the institutions give concrete examples of how they are helping the commercial sector innovate and find solutions for the challenges in society.

Various topics have been addressed from the NLR perspective, such as the study into Covid-19 in aircraft cabins, the Phino tool in the BRIK II nanosatellite and a short text about the use of augmented reality by air traffic controllers.

We hope you very much enjoy reading these articles – and the others!

You can download this edition here. It is also where you can find the impact reports that the TO2 federation published over recent years. From the 2019 issue onwards, the associated reports can also be downloaded in English.
