Converting knowledge into value
As an institution for applied research, we play a central role in the process of converting knowledge into value. Our aim is for the results of our research to be applied in society and the economy, making a tangible impact. The impact report features several articles that provide an overview of our prominent research in 2025 and previous years.
NLR acts as a hub between science, industry, and government in the field of aerospace, both domestically and internationally, bridging the gap between fundamental research and practical applications. Furthermore, we collaborate with the TO2 federation on applied research in the Netherlands.
Impact report 2025
The Impact Report offers a clear and concise overview of the projects NLR undertook in 2025. The 20 featured projects were carefully selected from the NLR research plan, ensuring a balance across our three strategic themes.
To provide a comprehensive view, the articles also explain how each project aligns with the following Dutch government policies: the Long-term Space Agenda, Aviation Research Agenda, IKIA for Climate and Energy, Defence Vision 2035, or Key Technologies.
