New Supervisory Board

1 minute read

The composition of the Supervisory Board was changed in September. This changing of the guard has led to greater diversity in the composition of the Board.

The Board is the supervisory body of Royal NLR. Its members provide advice and monitor the work of the day-to-day executive. Since 21 September 2022, the Board has had a new composition in which two of its members have been changed. Jacqueline Prins, the general manager of the SER (Social and Economic Council), and Lies van Kralingen, CFO of InnovationQuarter, have joined. They have replaced Stan Dessens and Onno den Boer respectively, whose third and final term has come to an end. The Board had been complete again since Leanne van den Hoek joined in March. She is the first woman to hold a flag officer rank in the Dutch military.

The general manager Michel Peters is delighted with the arrival of the new members.
“They have brought in a great deal of knowledge and experience that NLR will be able to make good use of.” On top of that, he is pleased that they are women.
“For the first time in the history of NLR, the Board contains more women than men. That all helps achieve the greater diversity that we’re aiming for in NLR. That’s because staff educated in different fields, with varying backgrounds and ambitions bring different kinds of knowledge, experience and ways of thinking. This helps us utilise talent and nurture creativity and innovation.”
