When assessing instructor concordance it is important to respect the limitation of certain concordance approaches. While some operators believe that they can use EBT assessment data to monitor their instructors, they may fall victim to ambiguous conclusions and unreliable statistics. Using controlled reference material such as videos in an instructor concordance classroom provides a much better basis to assess concordance reliably. But how are good videos made? And are there alternatives to videos?
This course trains your EBT team in best practices for creating reference material for an ICAP programme including videos but also other alternatives. The course will also examine how to develop videos that provide the proper assessment scenarios, how to setup assessment reference grades (“gold standards”) and how to run an efficient and effective concordance session with instructors.
In this course an initial script is developed and practiced together, to maximize the transfer of practical skills and knowledge. In addition, the course will deliver a schedule for developing reference materials including videos, and connect with your existing or planned ICAP programme.
